Role Overview: At Huckleberry, we’re looking for a Digital Design Executive with a passion for both graphic design, brand and social media. This role is for someone who thrives on creating visually stunning content while also managing the strategy behind it. You’ll be the bridge between design and strategy, responsible for creating and executing high-quality content that not only reflects the unique personalities of our clients but also drives engagement.

As part of our growing Creative Team, you'll have the chance to work with some of the most exciting hotel and hospitality brands, from well-established names to new developments. You’ll play a pivotal role in helping us develop brands and push creative boundaries while ensuring every piece of content is consistent, on-brand, and engaging.

Key Responsibilities

Design & Content Creation

  • Graphic Design for Social Media: Create stunning, eye-catching visuals for social media platforms, including Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, and TikTok. Your designs will include posts, stories, ads, reels and more, all tailored to each client's needs and style.

  • Brand Development: Assist in developing and refining brand identities, defining the visual voice of a brand. You’ll work with our Creative Team to ensure a cohesive and dynamic brand presence across all platforms.

  • Visual Storytelling: Use your design skills to tell a compelling visual story for each brand. This includes graphics, infographics, and animated content that aligns with the strategic goals of each campaign.

Social Media Strategy & Execution

  • Campaign Planning & Execution: Help plan, create, and manage social media campaigns, ensuring that the content is engaging, on-brand, and aligned with the campaign goals. You will have a hand in both organic posts and paid social media ads.

  • Content Calendar Management: Assist in managing the content calendar, ensuring there’s a consistent flow of content that speaks to the brand’s audience and matches their voice. You’ll make sure the content is always relevant, timely, and impactful.

  • Platform Management: You will be responsible for overseeing the maintenance of assigned social media accounts across all relevant platforms, being responsible for reporting on analytics to your team.

Meta Ads Creatives & Paid Social Media

  • Design Meta Ad Creatives: Create visually engaging Meta ad creatives (for Facebook and Instagram) that align with each campaign's objectives. From promotional offers to event announcements, your ads will help drive engagement and increase ROI.

Collaboration & Cross-team work

  • Work with the Creative Team: Collaborate with the Head of Creative, Digital Content Creator, and other team members to brainstorm and develop ideas for new campaigns. Your input will be crucial in shaping the overall creative direction and ensuring content quality.

  • Client Collaboration: Partner with clients to understand their needs and objectives. You'll be an essential part of ensuring their social media presence is aligned with their marketing strategy.

Trendspotting & Innovation

  • Stay Ahead of Trends: Keep an eye on the latest trends in design, social media tools, and platform algorithms. You’ll be at the forefront of what’s new, bringing fresh, innovative ideas to the table.

  • Experimentation: Test new content formats and design styles to keep things fresh. From motion graphics to interactive elements, you’ll bring a spirit of experimentation to the team, pushing the limits of creative design.

Skills & Experience

Graphic Design Expertise: Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) and/or Canva for creating visually engaging content.

Social Media Savvy: Experience in social media management and content creation. You understand the unique requirements of each platform (Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, etc.) and can design accordingly. Strong understanding of social media analytics and the ability to optimise content based on engagement metrics.

Experience in Brand Development: You’ve been involved in building or refining brand identities, and you understand how to create visual consistency across multiple channels. An ability to understand all levels of brand, and how to develop this into powerful and eye-catching visual strategies for social media.

Attention to Detail: You pride yourself on delivering work that’s polished and on-brand. Quality is key, and you’re committed to ensuring that every design is perfect. Excellent communication and organisational skills, with the ability to adapt to new platforms and tools quickly.

Up-to-Date with Trends: You’re passionate about staying current with design trends, social media updates, and the latest digital tools.

Collaborative & Passionate Mindset: You thrive in a team environment and are comfortable collaborating with both clients and internal teams to bring creative visions to life. A passion for social media, travel, and lifestyle content, with an understanding of trends and best practices.
