Social Media Executive
Reports To: Head of Creative
Location: Edinburgh office-based / Hybrid
Role Overview: As Social Media Executive at Huckleberry, you’ll play a key role in managing and executing organic social media strategies across various platforms. You will focus on content creation, community engagement, and helping our clients maintain a consistent, on-brand presence online. From building Meta ad creatives to creating engaging posts and managing email newsletters designs, you’ll be integral in making sure our content is not just pretty, but performs.
You’ll work closely with the Head of Creative and Digital Content Creator to ensure our content aligns with overarching marketing strategies, while also taking responsibility for keeping our clients’ social media presence fresh, innovative, and aligned with their brand values.

Key Responsibilities:
Social Media Content Creation & Management:
Manage and execute the day-to-day content strategy for client social media accounts, ensuring consistency with brand identity and engagement goals.
Curate and create organic social media content across platforms including Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, and TikTok.
Write compelling, brand-aligned copy, and design eye-catching visuals (with support from Canva, Adobe Suite, CapCut) for social media posts, stories, and ads.
Regularly analyse and report on content performance (engagement, reach, etc.), making recommendations for content optimisations.
Meta Ad Creatives & Campaign Support:
Assist with building Meta ad creatives and contribute to ad campaigns, ensuring the content aligns with the strategic goals of the campaigns.
Work with the creative team to produce visuals and ad copy that resonates with target audiences and drives engagement.
Help monitor and report on the success of Meta campaigns and suggest creative improvements based on performance metrics.
Collaboration & Communication:
Work closely with the Head of Creative and Digital Content Creator to ensure the content aligns with creative direction and client goals.
Collaborate with our Digital Content Creator to maintain consistency across organic social media content and Meta ad campaigns.
Communicate with clients, gather feedback, and refine content strategies to ensure their social media presence aligns with their marketing goals.
Strategy Development & Content Calendar Management:
Assist in the creation of content strategies, including planning, developing, and managing the social media content calendar using Sendible.
Regularly update and maintain the social media content calendar, ensuring timely posts and alignment with seasonal campaigns or promotions.
Community Engagement & Growth:
Manage engagement by responding to comments, messages, and mentions across client social channels, growing the community and encouraging interaction.
Research and identify opportunities for engagement, collaborations, and content partnerships that drive increased visibility and brand presence.
Email Newsletter Creation & Management:
Take responsibility for creating and managing email newsletters for clients, ensuring that content is aligned with brand messaging and strategic goals.
Collaborate with the Head of Creative and Digital Content Creator to ensure newsletters reflect the visual style and tone of the client’s brand.
Create engaging, well-designed, and mobile-optimised email content, including promotional offers, event highlights, and brand updates.
Track and report on the performance of email campaigns (open rates, click-through rates, conversions) and make recommendations for improvements.
Skills & Experience:
Previous experience in managing social media platforms, content creation, and community management.
Proficient in Canva, Adobe Suite (for basic content creation), and social media management tools like Sendible.
Strong understanding of social media analytics and the ability to optimise content based on engagement metrics.
A passion for social media, travel, and lifestyle content, with an understanding of trends and best practices.
Excellent communication and organisational skills, with the ability to adapt to new platforms and tools quickly.
An ability to understand all levels of brand, and how to develop this into powerful and eye-catching visual strategies for social media.
